Two types, a new chapter: collecting Pocket’s Dual Fusion

Mega Mewtwo X ex and Mega Greninja ex introduce two-type cards. Separate the October 29 expansion from the October 31 special pack before choosing your next Card Dex slot.

Psychic and Fighting on Mega Mewtwo X ex; Water and Darkness on Mega Greninja ex. Dual Fusion brings two-type cards to Pokémon TCG Pocket for the first time. The collecting hook is a familiar Pokémon presented through a new pairing. That gives its next Card Dex entry a different identity to examine alongside its artwork.

Two Mega Pokémon, two different pairings

The official English press gallery supplies the Mega Mewtwo X ex and Mega Greninja ex images shown here. We have not assigned an unverified complete set number or a pull rate to an unrevealed variant. Keep the revealed card image separate from any future alternate illustration; the expansion and rarity displayed in the app will help distinguish them.

The expansion and the special pack use different paths

The official launch time is October 28 at 6 p.m. PDT—October 29 at 10 a.m. in Korea. First Partners is a separate special pack, announced for October 31–December 26. Its dedicated stamina recovers once a week and its packs guarantee one ★ card. That promise should not be transferred to every regular expansion pack. For a collector choosing an illustration to chase, knowing the acquisition path matters as much as recognizing the Pokémon.

Familiar faces invite different collecting choices

In the revealed-image discussion we checked, interest in collecting Kanto Pokémon sits beside disappointment at another return to that generation. Another reader was waiting to see Trainer cards. Those are identifiable reactions in one thread, not evidence of market demand or a popularity ranking. They suggest a useful personal choice: collect another scene featuring a favorite, or build a page around the new type pairings.

Keep the digital collection separate from a paper quote

These are digital Pocket cards. An asking price or completed sale for a physical card with the same Pokémon name does not value this app entry. We therefore attach no paper-single price or opening-profit calculation. This article separates the material available when checked October 26 from details that still need confirmation in the app. Which pairing would you put in your next Card Dex slot? Recheck availability and event conditions in the app and official announcement before opening.
