Actual card comparison: Building a deck or ready to play? Pokémon’s October releases serve different jobs
Original TCGIndex infographic based on official product contents; not a card or packaging photograph. Dates follow Pokémon’s US announcement.

October 23: add to your own collection

Deck Crafter’s Collection supplies a foil Meowth ex and 39 Trainer cards, plus a guide, nine dividers and a booster. Pokémon describes combining these cards with ones you already own to build or improve a deck.

October 30: two ready-to-play options

The Espeon ex and Umbreon ex 30th Celebration Battle Decks each contain an all-foil 60-card deck, a deck box, coin and playmat. Their respective illustration rare-style promos feature Victini and Zeraora. Keep that official ‘style’ wording distinct from a booster rarity claim.

Start with the gap you need to fill

Are you missing a playable deck, or specific slots in a list you already enjoy? For an upgrade, compare your inventory with that list first. A larger card count alone tells you little about how the finished deck will play.

Check the edition before searching singles

These are US-announced dates; confirm local availability and language. A Pokémon’s name on a product does not identify every single inside. Match the actual card number, artwork and printing when searching your collection.
