The card that brings back a whole deck

Some binder pages recall a game before you even read the attack. Tapu Lele-GX is one of those cards: bench it, search for the Supporter you needed, and remember what came next. The announced friend-match update offers a reason to revisit that memory with someone you choose. The interesting part for a collector is a fresh conversation around an old collection.

Read the maintenance time in your own zone

The current 1.44.0 patch notes schedule maintenance for November 4 at 21:00 UTC, lasting about four hours. In Korea that is November 5, approximately 06:00–10:00 KST. It was still upcoming when this article was checked on November 4 in Korea. The announced additions include an Inbox for friend requests and match invitations, plus Expanded matches against friends. Maintenance may take longer or schedules may change.

The supported pool begins with Sun & Moon

Live currently supports Sun & Moon onward for Expanded. That is a smaller playable pool than paper Expanded, which begins with Black & White. Before reviving a favorite list, check the cards actually available in the client and the applicable bans. A remembered combination and a playable current digital deck are different things; this update does not promise every older paper card.

Look closely at this particular Tapu Lele-GX

The official image here is the English SM—Guardians Rising 60/145, Rare Holo GX. Wonder Tag searches for a Supporter when you play it from your hand to the Bench. The matching TCGIndex entry shows a US JustTCG reference of US$6.63 for English Near Mint Holofoil, observed November 3, 2026. We checked the content November 4. That is a dated market reference, not a completed trade or a guaranteed buying price. The Celebrations reprint shares the number but is a different set entry.

Let the foil move at your pace

The announced accessibility options let players reduce or disable holofoil animation. For someone who finds constant movement distracting, that can make looking at the picture and reading the card more comfortable. These are display controls; they do not alter a physical card’s finish.

An invitation is not a price forecast

Our reading is that choosing a friend gives older decks a useful social setting. It does not establish a rise in physical demand or price, and the digital patch alone cannot support that conclusion. This is not a deck recommendation or a signal to buy Tapu Lele-GX. Which list would you bring back?
