The Borg’s first hundred: one Commander list, two kinds of shine

We Are the Borg has a published list. Follow the Queen’s assimilation theme, then separate the regular deck from its all-surge-foil Collector’s Edition.

The Collective opens its manifest

The four Star Trek Commander decks now have a home on the official announcement page. At our October 27 check, We Are the Borg had a full list; the other three still carried future-reveal notices. That makes the Collective a useful starting point for collectors. A favorite character can be a single-card goal, but a deck also preserves the supporting cast and the connections between them.

The Queen makes the theme playable

Assimilation brings an opposing creature to your side. The official mechanics guide explains that an assimilated creature arriving from outside the battlefield enters with a +1/+1 counter and becomes a Borg artifact creature. Here, the character and the rules tell a connected story. Reading the cards around the Queen can be as rewarding as finding her portrait.

A finish choice, with the same list

The regular and Collector’s Edition products share a hundred-card decklist. Regular gives you a traditional-foil face commander and 99 non-foil cards. Collector’s Edition makes the hundred-card deck surge foil. Imagine the deck in the place you will actually enjoy it: shuffled at a table, displayed beside other Star Trek collectibles, or revisited for its artwork. That preference can make the product choice easier to explain to yourself.

What readers looked for first

In the observed r/magicTCG reveal discussion, some readers welcomed the artifact-creature theme and possible additions to existing Urza or Breya decks. Morphic Pool’s reprint drew a positive response, while another reader had hoped to see Esper Sentinel included. The official list contains the former, not the latter. These are different collecting and deckbuilding interests, rather than proof of competitive strength or a price move.

Read the product name before a price

The official release guidance names November 13, 2026. We have not verified a current retail offer for this story, so no live price is attached. Check whether a listing actually names Collector’s Edition before comparing it with another box. A speculative sum of individual-card values would add little to this first reading of the list. Start with which cards and scenes belong in your collection.

Which Collective belongs on your shelf?

Would you keep the Queen as a favorite character, or build a night of Commander around her whole crew? The newly available Borg list gives that question some substance. Our check was made on October 27, 2026; unrevealed lists for the other three decks are outside this article.
