Best of Los Angeles Riftbound: Rengar won, but what does ‘Best-Of’ mean?
Riot's LA report names Rengar as the winner and Irelia as the most-played deck. Understand Best-Of awards before reading a deck list or comparing card prices.

Three numbers, three different stories
DSG Prismaticism won LA with Rengar, defeating Xeno's Irelia. Riot's report lists Irelia as the largest Day 1 contingent at 193 players; Kennen sent the most players into Day 2, at 63. Popularity, progression and winning the final measure different things. None of these counts is a match win rate.
Best-Of is a Legend-specific award
Riot's event guide defines Best-Of as the highest-placing competitor playing each eligible Legend. LA's Foil Plated rewards covered Legends from Spiritforged, Unleashed and Vendetta. A Best-Of deck can therefore be worth studying without being the overall tournament-winning list. Read its overall placing as well as its Legend rank.
Turn a tournament list into a useful shopping list
Start with the play style you enjoy and the cards you already own. Separate the Legend, Champion, main deck and sideboard before identifying gaps. A borrowed list becomes more useful when you understand what each slot does. Test against the decks you actually face locally; one tournament cannot determine the right deck for every player or store.
Tournament success is not a price chart
A trophy is a reason to research a card, not evidence of a price jump. A Rengar search on TCGIndex returns several products: compare the number, language, artwork and regular or foil finish before comparing prices. Read the observation date and distinguish asking prices from sale averages. We have not assigned a speculative price increase or resale return to this result.
