Actual card comparison: Disarm changes Might: three checks before your next attack
AI-created TCGIndex editorial illustration. Tokens and numbers are conceptual rules examples, not real card photographs or price data.

Start with the rules, rather than the name

Our early-morning Korea check on 13 October found ‘disarm riftbound’ among rising queries in Google Trends’ worldwide past-month TCG comparison. Riftbound drew high relative interest in that comparison; Naver DataLab’s separate Korean-keyword chart was led by Pokémon cards. These signals help choose a useful rules question. They do not establish sales volume or card-price movement.

Check when, where and how long

Riot’s Radiance core-rules update takes effect on 16 October 2026. Disarm is a unit’s attack-triggered ability that reduces one enemy unit’s Might at the same battlefield for the turn. A conceptual Disarm 1 example takes Might 5 to 4. The effect reduces Might; it does not deal damage or destroy Gear. Read the actual card text alongside the latest core rules before resolving a real combat.

Add values on the same unit

Section 831 of the updated core rules says that multiple granted Disarm values on a unit are added, with one trigger using the total. Disarm 1 plus Disarm 2 on that unit therefore gives a value of 3. This does not merge the abilities of separate attackers. An omitted value defaults to 1, and the reduction lasts for the turn.

Keep a catalogue name match in its proper place

Today’s live catalogue check found Disarming Rake as an English Spiritforged card, SFD-032/221. A similar word in a card’s name does not identify the new keyword or a Radiance printing. Compare set, complete number, language and printed rules text when checking a search result. This article explains a mechanic and does not attach an unverified new trading price to that card.

Try it yourself

  • Use the rules effective 16 October 2026
  • Check the attack trigger and the same battlefield
  • Distinguish Might reduction from damage or Gear destruction
  • Sum granted values on one unit, not across attackers
